SYNOPSIS A young man (Michael Angarano), who feels a great passion for Kung Fu movies, regularly visits a pawnshop in Chinatown looking for films. In one of his visits discover a staff that has recently seen in a dream, and later becomes involved in a robbery in the same pawn shop, behind which runs away with his stick. In the middle of the flight falls from a roof and is miraculously transported back to medieval China where, with the help of drunken fighter (Chan), Silent Monk (Jet Li) and Golden Sparrow (Yifei Liu), you must return the staff to the Monkey King himself, transformed into a stone statue long time ago.
